The last decade was characterised by a most welcome flourishing of comics research in Hungary, leading to the proliferation of academic and critical writings on comics. Current Trends in Hungarian Comics Studies is an edited volume providing an overview of the ongoing projects of the Comics Studies Research Centre at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Pécs, intended for international readers. The volume offers a selection of essays originally written in Hungarian by the members of the Research Centre (the essays have also been updated during translation).
